The Eanes ISD Assessment Timeline is changing for the 2017-18 school year. Please check the district link for updated information.
Consent window closed at 5PM August 31
The focus of the Eanes ISD GT Program is to serve students who have instructional needs due to exceptional intellectual and creative abilities. Assessment takes place once a year in September for grades 1-5, and in January for Kindergarten.

Kindergarten Assessment Timeline:
✤November 6 - 6PM: Parent Information Meeting VVE Cafeteria
✤ November 21 - Consent for assessment closes
✤ Week of December 12 - Creativity Assessment begins
✤ January 11 - 17 Assessment of Intellectual Ability
✤ Weeks of January 22 - February 9 Creativity Assessment continues
✤ January 30 - Parent SIGS rating form due at school. Turn in to front office.
✤ Week of February 26 - Letters mailed with assessment results
✤ Early March - Students who qualify for GT services begin
Assessment Timeline: (Grades 1-5)
✤ August 23 - 6PM: Parent Information Meeting - WHS Performing Arts Center (Repeat of the April 17 meeting)
✤ August 1-31: Consent to Assess Online Form available for parents who did not sign consent in May
✤ September 9: Intellectual Ability assessment given at Valley View Elementary for Grades 1-8
✤ September: Creative Prompts given during school day
✤ September 22: Parent SIGS Forms Due (Will be sent home)
✤ October 31: Letters mailed with Assessment Results
✤ November: Students who qualify begin GT class
